About the platform
What is Orbiton?+
Orbiton is a modular workforce platform. Each capability — documents and e‑signature, HR and payroll, recruitment, college admissions, campus placement, counselling and partner networks — is a separate app you can adopt on its own, and every app connects seamlessly with the others.
Can I use just one module, or do I need all of them?+
You can start with a single module and add more whenever you're ready. Each module is complete on its own; when you add another, it connects on day one — sharing one identity, one audit trail and one source of truth.
Is Orbiton built for India?+
Yes. Data handling is DPDP‑aware, timelines follow working‑day calendars, and statutory rules (such as PF, ESI and professional tax in payroll) are built in rather than bolted on.
Documents & signature
Are the e‑signatures legally valid?+
Yes. Electronic signatures are recognised under India's IT Act. Orbiton records who signed, when, and from where, produces a tamper‑evident Certificate of Completion, and can embed a cryptographic digital signature that any PDF reader can validate. Aadhaar eSign is supported through a licensed provider for the highest assurance.
How do I confirm a signed document is genuine?+
Every document carries a QR code and a short code that open a public Verify page. It confirms the document's authenticity and status without anyone needing to sign in.
How do people sign — do they need an account?+
Internal signers sign in the portal; external signers use a secure email link, no account needed. Either way they can type, draw or upload a signature, and — when required — verify a one‑time email code before signing.
Security & data
How is my data protected?+
Every record is protected by row‑level security, data is encrypted at rest, and access follows least‑privilege principles. Sensitive information is kept to the people who need it.
Is there an audit trail?+
Yes — a tamper‑evident, hash‑chained audit trail records every meaningful action, so activity is provable after the fact.
Do I own my data?+
Your data is yours. Orbiton is a self‑contained system with no dependency on outside tools, and your records stay under your control.
Setup & integrations
Can I connect my own payment or e‑signature provider?+
Yes. Providers — payment, e‑signature, verification and messaging — are configured from settings, so you can connect the accounts you already use.
How do I get started?+
Create an account and choose the module you want to begin with. You can invite your team and add more modules at any time.
